Preparation:
Video Preparation: The videos can be hosted on your own server or someone else’s server, such as YouTube. If hosting videos on your own server, the videos should be prepared into stream video formats. Please refer to the table below for your preferred format to use. Once the format has been decided, use any 3rd party video encoder software to prepare the videos. For the instructions on how to use the software, please refer to its user manual. Please note that the video size will be way too big for people to watch over the internet if it is not encoded into stream videos.
Upload Videos: After the videos have been prepared, use any FTP client software to connect to your FTP server. Then find the following folder: image > stories > videos > … (… represent the folder designated folder created for you when while the web site was developed) and upload the new video into the correct folder.
Insert Videos:
- Log into your web site’s control panel (www.yourfulldomain/administrator)
- Create a new article or open an existing article which the video should be inserted
- If your uCell Joomla! System has AllVideos Reloaded installed, you should be able to see an extra button below the article editing field called: AVR Media
- Click once in the article editing field, where you want the video to appear, and click the AVR Media once
- A pop-up window should be opened. If your browser asks if you want to allow the pop-up windows, agree with it.
- If the video is hosted somewhere else, select the Remote Media tag.
- Input the full URL where the video is located into the URL: field.
- Select the correct Provider from the drop-down list
- Click Insert to insert the video
- If the video is hosted with your own server, select Local Media.
- Click to open the Media drop-down list and you should able to find the new video on this list
- Select the Media Type according to they way the video was encoded. Finally, click Insert to insert the video
