Preparation: • Prepare images for the book in JPG format, each image for a page. Make sure that every image has the same measurement as the Book Width and Height settings of the previous books if there is any (under Component > FlippingBook > Manage Books > select preferred book) • Make sure the images are saved at the resolution of 72 dpi/inch. If you are using Adobe Photoshop or Adobe illustrator to edit the images, use File > Save for Web (Save for Web & Devices for CS3 and after) 1. Login to the back-end control panel 2. Go to Component > FlippingBook > Upload files to upload the images which you prepared earlier. Use the Add field button to add more images. You can upload up to 5 pages each time. After all 5 images have been selected, click Save to upload them 3. When all the images needed for the new book have been uploaded or when you are ready to make/update a boo, click the com_flippingbook link on the top to go to the Flipping Book Control panel 4. Click Manage Books to start making/updating a book 5. If you are making a new book which shares the same description as the previous books, follow the next step; If there is no other books, follow step 7; If you are editing an existing book, jump to step 10 6. Copy everything from the Description editing window, write down all the other settings and click Cancel to leave this page and you will be back to the Manage Books page 7. Click New Book to start editing a new book 8. Give this book a name and paste everything you copied from the other book earlier (if there is any) to the Description editing area 9. If coping from the other book, make sure all the other settings are identical with your notes then click Save to save this new book 10. Click the Pages icon to start putting the book together 11. Click the New Page icon 12. Under Page Image, select Yes for the publishing setting (unless you do not want this page to be live at this point); select the book which this page should belong to from the Book drop-down list; select the image from the Page Image drop-down list; type the page number of this page 13. Go to Zoom Page if you have an larger version of image for this page; select the file from the Zoom Image drop-down list; under the Zoom Target setting section, select how you want the enlarged image to be displayed; give this image a size 14. If you want to link this page to a certain page or web site, go to the Page Link tag, otherwise, go to the next step 15. Click Save Page and repeat from step 11 to step 15 until the whole book is completed 16. If you are only updating the book, go back to the page list and delete the old pages and you are done. Otherwise, follow the next step 17. Click the Books icon on the top. The next step is to make this new book live 18. Select the book you want to make it live, copy the Book URL (for example: http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_filppingbook&book_id=3) from the Book URL section and click Cancel to leave this page 19. Go to Menu > Book Menu > Book 20. Replace the URL of the Link-section-to with the one you just copied 21. Click Save to complete
