The easiest way to create a new product is to clone from an existing product. Follow the steps below for how to do it.

1. Go to Components > VirtueMart > Product List
2. Find the product which its product detail has the most common ground as the new product that you are creating
3. Find the column entitled: Clone Product and click the clone product icon (looks like 2 pieces of paper stack together) representing the product that you are cloning
4. A Clone Product page will turn out for you to make necessary changes to the new product. Pay attention that you must give this new product a different SKU for every product needs to have an unique SKU
5. When you are satisfied with the changes, either click the Apply or Save button to finalize the new product creation
6. After you have hit either of the buttons, if you see a message saying "Info: Product was successfully cloned", you can be sured that the cloning process is completed. If you see an error message instead, make the necessary changes according to the error message (s) then try to save again
